Welcome to AVSTA Antelope Valley Schools Transportation Agency was formed on July 1, 1980, following a feasibility study regarding forming a Joint Powers Authority (JPA) by the following districts: Antelope Valley Union High School District, Gorman School District, Hughes-Elizabeth Lakes School District, Keppel Union School District, Lancaster School District, Palmdale School District, Westside Union Elementary School District, and Wilsona School District. The Joint Powers Authority (JPA) is a union between two or more public entities with common interests, whose purpose is to join forces and share resources. The original location of AVSTA was at Antelope Valley High School. In 1988 construction was completed on our current facility
